- Take I-90 west of Missoula to the Ninemile Exit #82
- Turn right, travel 1.5 miles to the Ninemile Steakhouse
- Take the first road (West Ninemile Road) right after the Ninemile Steakhouse
- Travel 4.5 miles on West Ninemile Road to a bridge
- Turn left onto Ninemile Road
- Travel 6.7 miles up the valley
- The Running Horse Inn sits on the left side of the road
